LY2157299是高效特异性的TGF-β receptor I (TGF-βRI) 抑制剂（TβRI拮抗剂），其IC₅₀值为56 nM。LY2157299能有效抑制TGFβ受体信号，可用于评估对肝癌的抗肿瘤活性。LY2157299可抑制HUVEC细胞中TGFβ诱导的Smad2的磷酸化，抑制肿瘤细胞增殖，具有显著的抗肿瘤活性。
